Archer's Midnight competes with Joby Aviation, Vertical Aerospace, and Lilium in the eVTOL space.

Sectors & Industries

Powered by twelve electric motors and six battery packs, the Archer Midnight (NASDAQ: ACHR) can reach one hundred fifty miles per hour and fly up to one hundred miles, making it perfect for rescue missions.

On June eighth, Archer completed the first transition flight, shifting from vertical takeoff to wing-borne flight at speeds over one hundred miles per hour.

Weighing six thousand five hundred pounds with a one thousand-pound payload, Midnight is one of the largest electric flying vehicles to achieve transition flight.

With FAA certification in progress, piloted flights are expected later this year, aiming to turn hour-long commutes into ten to twenty-minute air taxi rides.

Archer has already proven itself with its earlier model, the Maker, which successfully transitioned flight in November two thousand twenty-two. Competitors in this space include Joby Aviation, Vertical Aerospace, and Lilium.
