Blue Ridge Bankshares, Inc. (BRBS) has announced the appointment of G. William Beale as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Blue Ridge Bank, N.A. effective from May 7, 2023. Brian K. Plum, the current President and CEO of the holding company, will remain in his position to focus on the company's strategy, technology, and business line initiatives. This appointment is an effort to add depth and experience to the team to help overcome the increasing complexity and challenges in the banking industry.

Mensel D. Dean, Jr., Chairman of the Board, expressed his confidence in the new CEO's operational expertise, as Mr. Beale is a seasoned banking executive with a deep understanding of the regional banking sector. Dean also stated that they are pleased to have Mr. Plum remain as CEO of the holding company. Under Mr. Plum's leadership, Blue Ridge Bank has grown from a small community bank to a leading Virginia bank with a robust deposit base, deep customer relationships, and growing footprint.
