Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII), through its Mission Technologies division, has been selected as one of the 37 companies awarded the U.S. Air Force Training Systems Acquisition (TSA) IV contract. This significant achievement allows HII to expand its provision of crucial training systems and support for the U.S. Air Force's mission. The indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) multiple-award contract comes with a 10-year ordering period and carries a potential value of $32.5 billion.
"Ensuring warfighters can 'train like they fight' has been the foundation of HII's live, virtual, constructive (LVC) solutions for more than 20 years," stated Andy Green, President of Mission Technologies. With this new contract, HII has the opportunity to further solidify its position in providing the U.S. Air Force with cutting-edge training systems that meet the unique requirements of each platform's mission and training needs.
The Secretary of the Air Force has identified readiness as one of the top 7 Operational Imperatives, underscoring the importance of effective warfighter training. Glenn Goodman, President of Mission Technologies' LVC Solutions business group, emphasized the expertise of HII's team in optimizing systems and platforms to deliver the most realistic training environments. These environments are designed to prepare aircrews for any situation they may encounter.
